CNA - HOME CARE JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Home Health Aide Certification or Nursing Assistant Certification Program meeting HCFA requirements. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity (which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing). Ability to travel in order to accomplish all duties as outlined in job description. Visual/Hearing ability to comprehend written/verbal communication and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Professional appearance and conduct. Experience: One (1) year experience as Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant and successful completion of competency evaluation. Home health experience. Physical: Normal hospital environment. Continuous exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant fumes and odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells; distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting up to 100lbs., carrying up to 40lbs., pushing/pulling up to 350lbs. JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Therapist, provides home health aide services in accordance with the written plan of treatment signed by the physician.
